Explanation

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) testifies that ‘Amr ibn al-‘Ās and his brother Hishām ibn al-‘Ās are believers. May Allah be pleased with both of them. This Hadīth indirectly refutes the claim of those who disparage the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them).

While a man was reciting Sūrat al-Kahf, with his horse tied with two ropes beside him

I never saw the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) ask that his parents be sacrificed for anyone after Sa‘d. I heard him say: Shoot your arrow, may my mother and father be sacrificed for you

Verily, I shall give this banner to a man who loves Allah and His Messenger, and Allah will grant victory at his hands."

I stand acquitted before Allah that I should take anyone of you as an intimate friend, for Allah has taken me as an intimate friend just as he took Abraham as an intimate friend
