Abu Bakr as-Siddīq (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: When we were in the cave, I saw the feet of the polytheists as I raised my head, and I said: O Messenger of Allah, if one of them looked below his feet, he would see us. He said: "O Abu Bakr, what do you think of two persons, the third of whom is Allah?"

Explanation

The Commander of the Believers, Abu Bakr as-Siddīq (may Allah be pleased with him), said during the time of migration: I looked at the feet of the polytheists standing above us at the entrance of Cave Thawr while we were inside, and I said: O Messenger of Allah, if one of them were to look at his feet, he would see us beneath him. He replied: O Abu Bakr, what do you think of the two when Allah is their third, granting them victory, aid, protection, and support?!

  6. Perfection of the Prophet's reliance on his Lord, as he depended on Him and entrusted all his affairs to Him.
  7. The courage of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and how he reassured the hearts and souls.
  8. Fleeing with the religion out of fear of the enemy, while taking necessary precautions.
